Beach day!

Chicagoans live for summer! There’s nothing like the beaches at the lakefront. Go to be seen at North Ave. or Oak Street beach if that’s your vibe (with or without kids). However, there are also beaches off the beaten path like Hollywood Beach. I met a friend with three kids about the same age as mine and have to give her the credit for the idea.

Fun is an understatement. Suburban and private schools were in session so us city dwellers practically had the beach to ourselves. Five hours of pure sunshine, waves, ice cream and possibly a cocktail or two. Loved closing up the summer with an amazing beach day.
